CCDS AT PILOT STAGE 37 PUBLIC SCHOOLS IMPLEMENTATION EXPERIENCE
Platform for self and offline learning for MoBSE was initiated due to the emergence of Covid-19 Pandemic. The goal was to design and deploy a mobile and desktop e-Learning platform for Senior Secondary and Upper Basic Schools in The Gambia. Providing MoBSE with Learning Management System LMS in accordance with Fuzion Mobile technological model which enables online and offline education delivery. The platform will enable MoBSE, to prepare, organize, upload and deploy more contents to the e-learning platform, with management and training tools, reporting systems and live classes. Plus a national e-learning framework to guide the process not excluding the associated hardware such as SD Cards. Students should be able to learn at their pace and assess their performance during and after learning. The project was categorized in phases and the first phase focused on providing offline section of the solution to UBS utilizing Fuzion Mobile Offline SD Cards. Progressively, the project has been piloted in 37 Public Schools and found to be a great strategy in driving the blended learning approach of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education.
